| On April 1, 1971, Lee Pharmaceuticals (the Company) commenced operations as a
wholly subsidiary of the Epoxylite Corporation, by acquiring certain assets,
liabilities, and the business operations of the Medical-Dental Division of
Epoxylite, with the right to use the Epoxylite brand as a trademark in the medical-dental fields. The Company's founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Henry L. Lee, Jr., had an
extensive background and education in the field of epoxy and resins and
co-authored several books on the subject. In the Company's early years it was strictly a developer and manufacturer of dental filling material, adhesive and composites. In 1974, the Company diversified its operations into artificial nail lengthening products (Lee NailsŪ) and further line extensions into health and beauty aids such as creams, lotions, depilatories, etc. Today Lee Pharmaceuticals' stock is traded under the symbol LPHM (bulletin Board - OTC) with over 4 million shares of outstanding common stock. |
